We are looking for an energetic and self-driven professional to join Transmission Department in handling one of the mega projects – the Clean Energy Transmission System (CETS), for enhancing the cross - border transmission overhead line circuits connecting Hong Kong and Mainland China. Reporting directly to Manager – Project Controls, the successful candidate will be responsible for project controls functions and is expected to work with project team and liaise with Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contractors for project planning and programming, cost monitoring, progress reporting, and risks control.

• Work with Group Operations to ensure the project is delivered in compliance with CLP Project Management Governance System
• Maintain and report realistic schedule and construction budget forecasts
• Mitigate any potential threats for cost or schedule overruns and projects risks by proactively working with the EPC contractors and other relevant stakeholders to identify and generate recovery plans
• Ensure the EPC contractors’ planning, scheduling and changes are well managed and justified
• Travel to PRC for meetings and monitoring EPC contractors’ project progress at site
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

• A recognized University degree in an engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in power, construction, or process industry
  MHKIE or Chartered Engineer qualification or equivalent is preferable
• Knowledge of business planning, budgeting and contracting process
• Ability to communicate effectively with different levels, both internally and externally
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
