Responsibilities:

• Review the design and provide guidance on risk design management and cost reduction, gross margin and ROI.
• Hold meetings to keep HK / China cross functional teams organized and focused throughout design cycle
• Work with designers / engineering team to have innovation design, handle engineering design job from conceptual stage until production start, make sure the design, should be robust each milestone and before Tool Start..
• Provide technical leadership to figure out the root cause when the engineering problem can be found, provide a guidance to team how to solve the problem step by step.
• Drive and track engineering material readiness for Engineering builds.
• Leverage team members to contribute to the efficient development of engineering design – including prototyping, design, analysis report, validation and tooling debug notes.
• Work with function leads of Mechanical / Electronic Engineering, Manufacturers, Designers, Software team, Game team, QE and Tooling to define the problem and trouble shooting.

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma holder or above in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering or relevant disciplines
• Minimum 8 years working experiences in mechanical engineering in which 5-6 years in project manager role
• Solid hands-on experience and knowledge in consumer product, plush toys, fabric design, toys design, plastics design, sewing and product assembly and tooling
• Proficient in 3C, ASTM963 and EN71 for all ages
• Comprehensive knowledge and experiences in using 3D Modeling, i.e. Pro-E and AutoCAD
• Possess electronic design knowledge, plush and packaging in toys field
• Good OEM vendors management in building toys from design to mass production stages
• Excellent project management skills, including but not limited to developing project schedules (e.g. MS Projects), bug tracking database, material control systems, creating and driving tooling and manufacturing schedules, managing whole product development lifecycle, etc.
• Ability to work with functional leaders to define team interactions, boundaries and responsibilities
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Both Cantonese and Mandarin) with good communication & presentation skills
