Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provides event planning outlines and agendas to facilitate meetings with customers and all centre’s departments or employees
  • Solely responsible for end to end event management of varied events with different working parties.
  • Conducting site inspection, providing prompt and accurate information to customers
  • Event administrative responsibilities such as preparing reports, event order, handling project
  • Maximizes revenue by upselling the centre’s food and beverage service, equipment and other services to customers
  • Confirms customers’ satisfaction and solicits suggestions for improvement
  • Utilises all previous event records during event planning in order to maximise efficiency and minimise time for both the organiser and centre’s employees
  • Maintain up-to-date database and comprehensive records in the system (keeping accurate and detailed information of all event planning, menu, set-up or operational and co-ordination details)
  • Maintains open and cordial relationship with customers by offering advice and adequate venue information as well as tactfully handling problems and requests, identify customers’ needs and expectations
  • Maintains an enthusiastic, willing and helpful demeanour responding expeditiously to customers’ needs while maintaining ease in access by the customers
  • Less experience will be considered as Assistant Event Manager.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder or above in business studies, catering, hotel management, tourism management or other related fields
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in practical event co-ordination experience in MICE industry
  • Proficiency in project management or co-ordination and planning
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin would be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact effectively with people of cross- cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to interpret logistical and technical event requirements
  • Good computer skills in using software applications e.g., Word, Excel, and database management
  • Good organisational and good leadership skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Shift duty is required
