Job Description
The Safety & Security Department, Shared Services provides safety (occupational health and safety (‘OSH’) and aviation safety) and security services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Pacific Catering Services (H.K.) Limited (‘CPCS’), Cathay Pacific Services Limited (‘CPSL’), Hong Kong Airport Services Limited (‘HAS’) and Vogue Laundry Service Limited (‘VLS’).
Responsibilities
- Assist in handling safety reports and maintain the safety reporting occurrence database
- Conduct safety inspections and assist in monitoring contractors’ safety performance
- Coordinate with line departments in conducting risk assessments on operational activities, reviewing safety rules and regulations for catering services
- Conduct accident and incident investigations, recommend preventive measures to ensure compliance with the legislation
- Plan, organise and conduct safety awareness training and promotional activities for staff and subcontractors as required
- Assist in monitoring the company's compliance with all relevant OSH legislation and promoting continuous improvements in OSH management system practices
- Support other subsidiaries for matters of safety and security and complete other projects/assignments as directed by the Management
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management
- Degree holder in Occupational Health & Safety or other related disciplines
- Preferably be a Registered Safety Officer (RSO)
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant working experience in safety management gained from sizeable organisations
- Good knowledge and solid experience in managing Safety Management System and ISO45001
- Exposure in laundry or industrial operations is an advantage
- Holder of a valid driving license (No. 1 and 2) is an advantage
- Consistency in delivering high-quality work with strong organising and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal & communication and presentation skills with proactive, tactful and result-oriented personality
- Able to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
- Proficient in PC applications such as MS Office
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
