Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for supervising the venue set-ups, services and clean-up of all banquet / catering functions, manpower and action planning for banquet / catering functions
• Ensure all the arrangement, such as setup and mis-en-place are ready prior to each service period
• Provide briefing to the supervisory staff every time before event
• Interact with guests and ensure guest needs are met during all banquet/catering functions
• Control the casual labor cost and their personal attitudes and work performance
• Check guests’ satisfaction and refer comments / complaints to manager
• Study and evaluate banquet operations and suggest improvements, report to Assistant Director of F&B / Senior F&B Manager
• Provide training and coaching to all banquet / catering staff as well as on-going on the job training for the existing staff and pre-job training for new join staff
• Cooperate with operation team to complete multitasks for supporting events

 Requirements

• Form 5 or above  
• Degree / diploma holder in hotel management or comparable experience of similar capacity
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in banquet operations with 3 years’ experience at supervisory / managerial level
• Hands-on skills in staff training and operation management
• Proficient skills in MS Office, such as Word and PowerPoint, and other tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Catering Services Manager
