Job Purpose:
Focus on assisting in the day to day IT application operations and production support specialized in the equity and futures trading systems and settlement systems. Also involved with other teammates in supporting user requests like data extraction query, reports update and other internal system requests. Work closely with the business users, also with the system vendors to carry out of IT projects included requirement gathering, customization, documentation or testing.

Job Duties :

• Responsible for providing first line application production support for the equity business, futures trading or operations, outside working hours if required.
• Manage, resolve and investigate production system issues with system vendors and follow through the cases, mainly focused on equity and futures trading systems.
•  Assist in system testing and execute system deployments.
•  Gather and analyze system requirement from various user department and translate into business or technical specification.
•  Manage system upgrade or new projects for applications handled by the team, according to project management processes.
• Perform health check and maintain the system stability and availability for local and global markets.
• Provide phone or remote support in non-office hour in case required.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in first line application support for the equity business, futures trading or operations.
• At least 2 years’ experience in first line support role using iAsia / Sharp Point / eSunny or other system brands are preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience in securities firm or investment bank.
• Sound knowledge of equity / futures trading and settlement system functionality, operation flow, HKEx and global market connectivity (direct or via execution broker) are essential.
• Experience in dealing with end users and system vendors, problems solving and troubleshooting production issues for the systems.
• Solid experience in system problem solving, skills on production issue handling and production deployment are essential.
• Hand-on knowledge of SQL Server Skills.
• Team player, responsible, independent, self-starter, motivated, multitasking and able to take initiative to get projects completed.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua is preferred.
