Job Description
THE ROLE
Main responsibilities:
- Monitoring of store processes like the upload of sales data and the download of transfer data
- Check software updates for cash registers
- Documentation of installed hardware in new stores
- Inventory of cash registers and peripheral hardware in the Remedy inventory database
- Analysis of store openings and closings together with the partner of Esprit
- Troubleshooting of all incidents in store environment, especially cash register hard- and software
- Identification and communication to the network team regarding needed network inventory
- Handling all related incidents and requests in the Remedy ticket system
- Monitoring, evaluation and escalating tickets related to the partners of Esprit, regarding field services, Omnichannel and cash register application.
- 1st Level ticket handling and documentation in Remedy ticket system
- Support of the Omnichannel infrastructure and devices with partners
- Testing of new hardware and software before rollout
- Incident handling and support of PDAs, back office PCs and peripherals like sign pads, cash printers and scanner
- Documentation of processes and technical configurations
- Assist with diverse projects
- Carry out individual assignments that fall under the main scope of the job or are based on operational necessity, at the supervisor’s discretion
Qualification Profile:
Studies
- Degree in IT / business information technology with first professional experience in a comparable position alternatively.
- IT Specialist combined with advanced occupational training and with wide professional experience in a comparable position.
- Hands-on professional expertise in securing, testing, running and tuning IT infrastructure
- Hands-on professional expertise in managing cybersecurity, data protection and software licensing
- Ability to code and duty to automate
Language skills
- Business fluent English skills
- Good knowledge of minimum two client operating systems
- Good hardware knowledge in client, server and peripherals
- Basic knowledge of client server and network environments
- Good knowledge in standard applications like Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Basic knowledge of cash register hard- and software
- Basic knowledge of mobile Apple hard- and software
