Job Description
The Role
Reporting to the APAC Senior Head of Product for the Connect domain, this role is responsible for designing, developing and delivering a strategically important portfolio of hirer-facing Selection tools that create value for hirers and candidates across our three core brands (SEEK, JobStreet and JobsDB) in APAC.
In this role, you will also have responsibility for defining and evolving the longer-term Selection product vision, ambition and associated roadmap for how we can continue to create marketplace value by helping hirers identify quality candidates for their roles faster and more confidently.
You will lead a team of highly capable product experts & multi-disciplinary teams with a large geographical scope and impact - influencing outcomes for hundreds of thousands of hirers and millions of candidates across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and define the Selection product ambition that creates an inspiring vision for helping hirers identify quality candidates, bringing together a deep understanding of the hirer and candidate, the competitive landscape, technology & industry trends and SEEK’s overall strategy.
- Create marketplace value through the product design, build and execution of increasingly AI-driven solutions that deliver on the key needs of the hirer as well as candidate.
- Direct team leadership responsibility and high-level oversight of cross functional multi-disciplinary teams in the Selection squad. Responsible for creating a high performing team environment and guiding the team to set achievable but ambitious quarterly OKRs aligned with the sub-domain vision.
- Balance the needs of both sides of our marketplace, ensuring design & delivery of world-class experiences for hirers that also have a positive impact for candidates
- Ownership of defining and delivering key metrics for the Selection domain and creating a clear executive-level narrative on its marketplace impact and performance, consistently highlighting and pushing for opportunities for further improvement and optimisation.
- Collaborate with strategy, AI platform services, technology, marketing, data & analytics to optimise the availability and use of data for segmentation and audience building to enable greater personalisation.
So, what are we looking for?
- Senior product management/development experience at a large scale (global experience is advantageous) and considerable experience across online or software product development (marketplace experience would be highly valued).
- Experience working across multiple brands or markets, and balancing the requirements of each, in the context of an overarching multi-brand/multi region strategy.
- A strong capacity to understand commercial market and strategic drivers to set clear goals, define problem statements and set a product roadmap while managing competing priorities from multiple stakeholders.
- Experienced leading and developing multi-disciplinary direct and cross functional Agile teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Well-developed analytical skills to solve complex and detailed problems using a data driven approach.
- Customer centric approach and well-developed communication, relationship management, presentation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
- A track record of creating and leading high-performing teams, providing product leadership and developing the careers of team members.
