The Role

In support of SEEK’s vision in unifying to a single platform and experience across all APAC markets, it is a crucial step to transform our existing Asia business model through the introduction of an interim budget-based commercial model based on the legacy technology platform.

Given the complexity of the change involved, we have identified the need of recruiting an experienced, hands-on project manager to lead the team through a successful implementation of the interim commercial model to the six Asia markets.

To succeed in this role, this person needs to show a strong background working in technology environments and at the same time possess a sharp business mindset. Have meticulous attention to details yet not losing sight to the big picture. Demonstrate outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of leading complex discussion and driving the team in making timely decision. Ultimately, this person is motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture project success from inception to completion.

The Project Manager will report to Asia Online Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, lead and control a business transformation project, ensuring successful delivery of project outputs and realization of the benefits
  • Work with technical and business leads to define a detailed project plan with adequate milestones and checkpoints
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Define project governance and monitoring process in accordance to guidance from the Program
  • Track project progress and provide regular status reports to Program Manager
  • Coordinate and facilitate key meetings including steering committee meetings, working team meetings, issue meetings, etc.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Manage project risk and issues, and taking corrective actions
  • Resolve conflicts and manage its impact on team performance and project success
  • Plan and coordinate testing activities, ensure test goal is properly defined and measured.
  • Lead project change management process. Use appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and resources.
  • Promote stakeholder engagement with identification of key stakeholders and analysis of their interests and influences
  • Monitor resource capacity and utilization rate
  • Motivates project team resources including business SMEs, product managers, engineers, designers, change partner, trainer, etc..
  • Maintain project documentation and formal handover on completion

So, what we are looking for?

  • Minimum 5-10 years of project experience playing the project manager role
  • Certification in PMP, Prince 2, or Scrum Master
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management practice procedures, tools, and deliverables
  • Track record in rolling out regional / large scale projects for multiple APAC locations
  • Experience in implementing a business transformation project is preferred
  • Project exposure to job search engine and online employment marketplace is a PLUS
  • Outstanding problem-solving, ability to breakdown complicated problems and find innovative solutions
  • Excellent organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good influencing skills managing both internal and external stakeholders
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Attend to detail yet maintain a big-picture vision
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
  • Good time management with successful record in meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable to manage high stress situations
  • Positive thinking, able to stay flexible
