The Role

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analysing, forming requirements, writing agile stories, spring iteration, sprint planning, sprint tracking and team reporting for Seek Asia Apps. This is an individual contributor who has the ability to understand mobile applications, break down complex problems and to help drive the success of the team. This role can be based in Hong Kong or Kuala Lumpur.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Creating, planning, estimating and maintaining the agile stories for Seek Asia mobile apps.
• Break down complex requirements into clear stories.
• Ensuring the teams agile rituals operate smoothly. 
• Prioritisation of stories with the product managers and engineering manager.
• Creation of clear reports showing team velocity, team health, and risks for delivery.
• Ensuring clear communication between the key stakeholders and other teams.
• Act as a facilitator for the team, who follow agile practices.
• Help with knowledge sharing within the organisation.

• Working in a test-driven and agile software development environment.
• Working with Jira, Miro, Slack, Microsoft Office.
• Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, analysis, estimating and planning.
• Previous experience in mobile apps.
• Involved in collaboration with stakeholders to understand business challenges and customer needs, remove bottlenecks, and help identify new opportunities for growth.
• Knowledge and experience with industry best practices, regulations and compliance (GDPR, PDPI), and quality assurance techniques.
• Experience working with geo-distributed teams and external consultants.
• Positive attitude and a clear sense of initiative.
• Uses data to help drive decision making.
• Influences and motivates others.
