Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for governance of IT support & infrastructure operations and projects.  Governs support of L1/L2 Service Desk, Application Server, DBA & Incident Management, plus coordination with Group IT organization for network, infrastructure, hosting support etc.  Governs, manages & drives major infrastructure upgrade projects on behalf of IT
  • Govern & manage infrastructure projects according to stakeholder expectations & best practice delivery methodology.  Define project approach, stage gates, entry & exit criteria.  Manage project throughout implementation lifecycle, from procurement / infrastructure commissioning to testing & deployment.  Report status to senior stakeholders as required
  • Govern & manage the delivery of infrastructure services including contract, legal, IT standards & information security compliance
  • Define & govern IT Operations in alignment with industry-leading practices & with reference to IT Operation standards such as ITIL 2011 (ITIL v3) / ITIL 2019 (ITIL v4)
  • Enhance support model to align with ITIL; provide training, support, mentoring & CI to fully implement in practice.  Document scope of services with clearly defined RACI; enforce accountability; eliminate gaps & handoffs between teams.  Define operational support procedures (SOPs) for Service Desk & Infrastructure Support
  • Manage CPS IS IT Ops support team including Incident Management, Service Desk, DBA & Application Server Admin.  Leadership, development & coaching of the team from annual performance reviews to day-to-day feedback & personnel management.  Recruitment of management / team members as necessary
  • Ensure continuity of IT operations service quality & continuity to IT operations SLAs, ensuring Availability, Capacity, Continuity and Incident Management.  Reports & manages SLAs of supporting infrastructure services & takes corrective action as required

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 10 years IT technical infrastructure and operations experience
  • 5 years of large scale IT infrastructure project management experience
  • Experienced in 3rd party infrastructure contract management & vendor management.  Experience managing multiple cloud PaaS implementations, e.g. AWS, MS Azure
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in leading & managing complex IT infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in leading IT service operations teams
  • Demonstrated experience working with foundation ITIL V3 processes, Incident and Change Management, Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions
  • Good knowledge of cybersecurity risks, best practices & remediations
  • Certifications in Cloud Architecture, Cybersecurity & Project Management preferred
  • Experience in consumer products / retail / logistics & supply chain solutions preferred
