About the role

• Supervise all kinds of system and database administration works
• Responsible for System HA/DR infrastructure design, implementation and maintenance
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot on servers, storages and databases
• Perform system administration, monitoring and capacity management
• Design, build and scale group level's enterprise infrastructure, focusing specifically on databases standards, framework and common services.
• Understand and satisfy Cyber Security requirements
• Leading team members to fulfill routine and project requirements
• Prepare and maintain IT policy, procedure and working manual
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
• Perform database performance tuning, administration, troubleshooting and optimization.
• Apply modern engineering methodologies such as infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and code migration for growing database infrastructure.
• Improve and optimize database administration and management with coding and automation with a focus on the performance, high availability, and reliability.
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of enterprise applications and databases.
• Be the final escalation point for issues related to applications and database systems.
• Produce systems that are scalable, automated, and well-documented, and train others to take on operations.
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
• Manage the backup of data and ensure the integrity
• To provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for application teams
• Technical sharing and guidance to application team and PMs on adopting best practices and standards.

About You

• Degree in Computer Science / IT / Software Engineering or related discipline.
• Process the insight of a proper enterprise IT environment including latest technology trend, operation efficiency and software development practice
• Able to provide suggestions of overall application design and system integration according to application nature and technology stack
• 5+ years of proven working experience as a Database administrator on Oracle
• Hands-on experience with Oracle database RAC cluster and Data Guard
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
• Holder of OCP is preferred
• Holder of PMP / CISA / CISSP is an advantage
• In depth understanding on high availability infrastructure setup, including load sharing, distribute processing, distributed database, etc
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently with good time management
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities
• Candidate with less experience but with high caliber will also be considered as Senior Database Administrator
