As part of the Global Enterprise Compute Services Team, the Global Compute/Storage Solution Architect is accountable for overseeing and governing the technical aspects of Global and Regional project deployments in alignment with Global Standards and direction.

In this role the candidate will work on multiple Global and Regional design and deployment projects They will work closely with 3rd parties to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

• Provide design strategies to Server, Storage and Backup Systems aligned with Global Enterprise Compute and Storage Services strategic direction.
• Provide technical guidance and alignment to 3rd party suppliers in line with global architecture and standards
• Coordinate and monitor the deliverables of the 3rd party suppliers, so expectations are met as per the service level agreement and in term quality of services
• Participate in Global Solutions Design and Architecture
• Act as liaison contact with 3rd party suppliers
• Participate in the Global Infrastructure and Operations technical governance process
• Ensure 3rd party suppliers adherence to WSP processes, procedures, and standards
• Interface and work on some initiatives with IT service delivery and application team members, project teams and other Global IT Teams across the world
• On request, play a technical role with the Global Mergers and Acquisition team for the integration of all new infrastructure systems resulting from acquisitions or internal projects requiring amendments to the outsource service contract
• Propose standards for business requirements, security certification and industry best practices to bring plus value
• Facilitate Project Handover to Operations in conjunction with the Service Excellence Team

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years relevant and practical experience and related education
• Experience working with and managing multiple providers in an international multi-carrier environment
• Knowledge of different applications, systems, technologies such as:
  • Nutanix
  • NetApp Global File Cache (formally Talon Fast)
  • Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Komprise Data Analytics and Archiving
  • VMWare vCenter Products
  • Nimble
  • EMC ECS
  • Cisco UCS
  • HP Servers and Storage
  • Netbackup / VEEAM / Enterprise Vault
  • Data Domain
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently with low-level supervision and in a Global team distributed geographically
• Strong organization skills (set priorities, meets deadlines, multiple simultaneous projects) and excellent documentation skills
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic problem-solving skills with the ability of providing solutions to identified problems
• Ability to communicate problems in terms that are understandable to end users at all levels
• Demonstrated experience in understanding, designing, delivering, and demonstrating compliance with information security requirements
• Knowledge and experience in performing information security practices in the management and delivery of infrastructure and operations
