Role Purpose:

This is a position under Group Finance Department - Watsons Hong Kong and responsible for the financial analysis of business performance. It is good fit to talent who has analytical minds and the ability to take complex issue, pull together data from multiple sources, simplify the issues and break it into component parts and then present clear and concise conclusions. The talent will work with experts from different areas of the business 

A typical day in this Role:

• Store performance review and analysis – Review P&L structure and sales pattern (by category level, product range, customer tier, etc) to identify root cause for variance and facilitate execution.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports and analyse monthly operating results and KPI for management review
• Work with Finance Shared Service Centre in month-end closing, annual budget, forecast review and analysis
• Financial data processing, handling and analysis – provide analytical support to senior management and other departments to facilitate management decision.
• Participate in annual budget, quarterly forecast and strategic plan exercise.
• Perform other ad hoc analysis / assignments as required

• You are a Detailer who likes to dig into the details and excels at minimizing risk; deliberates fully before making decisions and will need to see all the facts before reaching a conclusion
• You are an Evaluator who assesses the practicality of a proposal and look at the facts
• You are a Communicator who has an ability to pick up on people’s underlying motivations and these insights make them persuasive and inspiring communicators

Success will depend on:

• Having Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or other Business related disciplines with professional accounting or finance qualifications
• At least 2 years experience in accounting, business reporting and analysis area. Candidates with more experienced will be considered as Senior Business Analyst
• With strong numerical sense and analytical abilities
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Cantonese, including Mandarin
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel
