Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with the Project Manager and Finance team on all project financial matters.
- Understand the revenue recognition plan and billing plan; manage and forecast cash movements monthly, give regular review and early alert to Project Manager and Finance team.
- Support revenue recognition by working with Project Leaders to ensure they understand the project lifecycle, determine correct project status, and maintain the system accordingly.
- Maintenance of the Project Master File including project initiation, project maintenance and change order management.
- Develop the work breakdown structure and budgets for the project.
- Act as a gatekeeper to project governance to ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, corporate policies, and accounting standards.
- Support the billing process, including generating pre-bills, identification of billing opportunities, invoice generation.
- Handle project related audit queries.
- Perform other finance-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or related discipline with at least 5 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of IFRS and project accounting is a plus.
- Ensure company and project standards are maintained.
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Attention to details with a high level of accuracy.
- Good written and spoken in Cantonese and English is a plus.
- Qualified accountant or pursuing CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Project Accountant.
