The Role

This role will be supporting all of our brands for the Hong Kong and Macau markets. Lead a sizable team to achieve business goals.

Report to: Financial Controller

Job Responsibilities

• Assist to manage the overall departmental goals in accordance with the corporate directions
• Lead Business Support and Financial Compliance Team to closely work with different brands and corporate stakeholders to provide professional advice to support the business
• Develop and set guidelines to ensure financial controls and processes are in place
• Lead the month-end closing activities to achieve timeliness and accuracy
• Ensure the accounting records and documentation are in compliance with the local statutory requirement and company accounting policy
• Provide insightful analysis of financial forecasts and business plans
• Assist to highlight financial performance and provide business analysis of risks and opportunities for management review
• Initiate to drive operational efficiency to streamline the operations
• Actively involve in system revamp and implementation projects to further optimize business process
• Lead and manage audit process to liaise with both corporate and external auditors during audit engagement
• Review tax submissions and ensure tax compliance
• Assess financial implications in reviewing agreements
• Proactively identify areas of improvement for better business performance and operational effectiveness
• Perform ad-hoc assignments

Job Requirements

• University graduate in Accounting / Finance / Business Disciplines with professional accountancy qualification
• At least 12 years of finance and accounting experience in which at least 6 years at senior management level, preferably in the retail industry in Hong Kong
• Business and financial acumen mindset
• Leadership skill with sound judgement in making decisions
• Self-motivated and independent with good problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people from all levels
• Detailed minded and analytical with good presentation skill
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with the flexibility to cope with changes
• SAP and ERP experience will be an asset
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (must)
