Job Description

Position Summary:

The post-holder will report to the Director (Finance) and perform the following main tasks:

  1. To supervise a small team to handle College's finance and accounting function including month end closing, financial and statutory reporting
  2. To manage various analytical and management reports to stakeholders
  3. To coordinate with other units or stakeholders in the preparation and review of periodic financials, forecast and annual budget
  4. To handle auditor's enquiry and deliverables during annual audit exercise
  5. To assist the supervisor in preparing relevant financial materials for the College's committee, Council and Board
  6. To lead the system enhancement / implementation activities
  7. To review, establish and enforce appropriate financial policies and procedures, control measures and systems to enhance operational efficiency
  8. To propose recommendation and enhancement in relation to the resources management, financial performance, policies and procedure of the College
  9. To perform or support ad-hoc analysis and other assignments as requested by the College

Requirements:

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines, with professional accountancy qualification, such as HKICPA / ACCA or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in financial / management accounting or external audit, preferably in sizeable organisations with hands-on supervisory experience.
  3. Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications (Knowledge of Sage 300 (ACCPAC) / Power BI is an advantage)
  4. Prior experience in system enhancement / implementation would be an asset
  5. Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  6. Self-motivated, responsible, collaborative & analytical mindset, strong interpersonal & communication skills, capable to handle tight timeline and work independently under pressure.

Salary and Fringe Benefits:

Appointment will be made on contract basis, renewable subject to mutual consent.
Remuneration is competitive and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience. The College offers group medical insurance, staff development support, annual leave and sick leave, and Mandatory Provident Fund to eligible appointee(s).
