Job Description
- Responsible for daily operations, Bank reconciliation and month-end and year-end closing process;
- Review/prepare monthly financial statements including HO reporting (J-GAAP, US-GAAP, BASEL III ) and perform variance analysis;
- Review/prepare monthly management report;
- Establish and enforce proper accounting method, polices and principles;
- Handle accounting enquiries from business units;
- New product analysis on accounting risk, provide comments and workarounds to support when necessary;
- Plan and arrange UAT for the implementation of new system/ products to support accounting policy and process;
- Support internal and external audit;
- Establish new initiatives and ideas to improve the deliverables;
- Keep abreast of accounting standards, policies and compliance with Group accounting policies and relevant standards, guidelines, procedures;
- Maintain good internal control and ensure effectiveness in financial reporting; and
- Ad hoc project/assignment.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting in banking industry;
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a team is preferable;
- Strong analytical and ability to work independently;
- Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel; and
- Attention to details and adherence to strict rules, standards and deadline.
