Responsibilities & Duties (Critical Success Factors):

1. Report to APAC Finance Director and supervise the team of 2-3 on accounting and reporting related functions;
2. Oversee and managing for the finance function with key focuses on financial reporting, statutory reporting, month-end closing, taxation, treasury of APAC offices (including key entities for Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, and Thailand);
3. Daily operational duties including payment verification and approval, concur claims verification, cash related transactions and taxation arrangement with the team support;
4. Responsible for managing the monthly financial closing for APAC, including but not limited to training the team in preparation of monthly closing packages, review monthly packages and discuss with management on issues identified throughout the monthly closing process;
5. Ensure accounting practices comply with local legislation, company policies and accounting standards, including but not limited to co-ordination of the annual statutory audits and review of audited accounts;
6. Implement D365 ERP system on financial management function for APAC region by collaborating with different functions and stakeholders. Require to subsequently enhance for improving controls and streamlining work processes;
7. Liaise with external, internal auditors, and banks in different Asian countries;
8. Develop, implement and maintain financial controls and processes and ensure best practices; 9. Review and co-ordinate with local tax consultants on ensuring accurate tax returns are filed on timely basis;
10. Closely monitor the internal control process, able to identify high risky area and carry out action accordingly; 
11. Drive team performance and ensure a continuous improvement culture;
12. Assist in ad-hoc projects

Essential qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience:

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with a professional accounting qualification;
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting from a sizeable company ; with at least 6 years of experience in managerial level;
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
• Proficient PC skills, knowledge in D365 is an advantage;
• High attention to details and accuracy;
• Strong communicator – good presentation skills and possesses strong verbal & written communication skills (English & local language);
• Demonstrate leadership to lead the team and projects to reach business expectations
• Flexible – able to adapt to rapidly changing situations;
• Proven ability to initiate and follow through with improvement initiatives;
• Able to work independently and be a team player. Ability to effectively deal with stressful situations;
• Exhibits honesty & trustworthiness;
• Open to new ideas & willing to challenge status quo;
• Immediate available is an advantage
