Position Description

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to lead a team of 5 and oversee the daily operations of our finance department including accounting, expenses control / management, preparing financial results for monthly and quarterly reports, annual budgeting, forecast and overseeing our statutory audit / other independent audit(s) / inspections. 

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all types of financial reports (management reports, statutory financial statements, other ad. hoc reports, analysis presentation, accounts breakdown, reconciliation schedule and cash flow forecast etc.)
• Monitor and ensure a proper accounting treatments and ledger records.
• Responsible for annual budget, quarterly forecast and major enquiries in financial matters.
• Responsible for handling and facilitating the annual audit and other external independent audits, including planning, coordination and leading the team to fulfil the audit requirements.
• Identify issues and resolve problem in accounting / reporting area.
• Lead and develop the finance team to effectively and efficiently carry out such daily accounting process as bookkeeping, payment and money received as well as the timely follow up of period-end closing. 
• Assist in implementing the ERP system, including the deployment of organisation-wide self-service staff reimbursements, purchase order system and inventory system etc.
• Assist in reviewing / revising for good practices of finance / accounting policies and procedures and help answer the enquiries relating to the new / revised policy and procedures. 
• Assist in evaluating financial / accounting procedures, internal controls and methodologies to ensure data integrity, accuracy of the financials and continuous improvement in efficiency and data analytics.
• Assist as required in preparing the data / financial reports for fundraising applications to outside bodies.
• Perform other duties as may be required.

 Requirements

• Qualified / semi-qualified accountant (e.g. HKICPA, AICPA, ACCA etc.) and degree or equivalent in Accounting / Financial related subjects. 
• At least 8 years of relevant accounting experience, with minimum 4 years in similar capacity.
• Mature and positive with good problem-solving skills and strong sense of quality.
• Good supervisory and leadership skills with excellent communication and presentation skills both in English and Cantonese.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and able to build working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Result oriented and analytical with keen eye for details and strong time management.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint as well as practical experience in using ERP system.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese), both written and oral.
• High level of integrity and must share the commitment of Mother’s Choice in upholding the safety and protection of children as paramount.
