Job Description
John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is the holding company of the publicly-listed conglomerate, Swire Pacific Ltd. Our Swire Archives Department is now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:
Senior Engagement & Communications Officer (Swire Archives)
Swire Archives’ mission is to provide archives service and stakeholder engagement service to Swire group companies in Hong Kong and Asia.
The job holder will support stakeholder engagement service function of Swire Archives and to assist in the promotion and communications of the Archives’ services.
Responsibilities:
- Host Swire Archives’ tours for our staff, group companies’ stakeholders and general audience
- Assist in managing and designing stakeholder engagement initiatives, programs and events
- Undertake coordination work and logistics arrangement for events and activities
- Support outreach and multimedia promotion of Swire Archives, and to coordinate with vendor on the production of communications materials
- Provide support on curation of heritage content of tours, engagement events and programmes
- Maintain the operational manual and procedures relating to engagement events and activities
- Bachelor’s degree or above in event management, communications, public affairs, teaching, history, research or related disciplines
- At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience in docent, outreach and stakeholder engagement
- Strong interest in history, and flair in verbal and written storytelling
- Outstanding interpersonal, project and event management skills
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with people of all levels, from corporate to community
- Excellent communication skill in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
- Knowledge on webpage design, video production and photo-editing is a plus
