Our client is one of the world’s largest producers and suppliers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies.  Their business across Industrial, Energy, Healthcare and Infrastructure & Cities Sectors in Hong Kong. They are now looking for a Senior Purchasing Officer, Supply Chain & Management to support various project.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full spectrum of network procurement activities including preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation, issue purchase orders and review contract documents in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Analyzes customer inquiries during bid preparation and supports project calculation with reliable material cost data.
• Analyzes scope of supply and contract agreements, carries out risk analyses and introduces negotiation recommendations.
• Drives Procurement strategies in projects and ensures their implementation.
• Contributes to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
• Prepares and conducts negotiations with venders to obtain highest feasible savings, prepares the subcontractor agreement / Purchase Order
• Monitor supplier delivery, product quality and take remedial action whenever necessary
• Generates, documents and implements savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.
• Executes Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
• Ensures a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
• Provides supplier information to the project and conducts project-specific supplier evaluations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant disciplines
• At least 5 years or above related work experience in Purchasing, with working knowledge on project environment
• Basic project management skill
• Experienced in SAP, Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint etc
• Working experience in Multinational / Construction companies would be a plus
• Strong organizing ability, independent, result-driven and committed
• Good communication and negotiation skills, self-initiative and a good team player
• Able to work under pressure and details-oriented
• Good command of written & spoken English and Cantonese
• Immediate available is highly preferred
