Job Description

Operations - Chief Administration Office (Digital Business Services)

Hang Seng’s Operations is a team of experienced banking operations professionals who strives for delivering time-to-market, efficient and world-class processing services to customers, corporations, financial institutions and internal units.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Business Management Lead.

Principal responsibilities

Business Management

  • Responsible for Operations financial planning and budget control
  • Support the implementation of global, regional and HASE Operations strategy
  • Provision of management information, reporting and analytics, such as financial forecasting, volume forecasting etc.
  • Delivery of critical administrative duties such communication and engagement, as well as driving the people agenda.
  • Drive activities to support the running of operations such as business continuity planning and coordination of training / knowledge sharing as well as day to day tactical issues

Non-Financial Risk

  • Lead a team in devising and monitoring of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) controls in Operations, such as providing NFR expertise, conducting end to end reviews on key controls, managing internal events, maintaining robust risk & control governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management in Operations

Operations Transformation

  • Oversee Operations transformation agenda, including defining transformation plans and driving the delivery of major change activities for streamlining and efficiency improvement
  • Lead and coordinate Operations wide projects and initiatives, and work collaboratively with the business and functions (e.g. Transformation, IT) to ensure effective delivery of change and transformation activity within budget and as per agreed timelines
  • Act as the focal point of contact for Operations wide IT programs

Requirements
  • University degree in business or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in banking industry, with good knowledge of financial budgeting, strategic planning, and operations management
  • Proven project management experience with ability to influence staff at different levels
  • Strong self-motivation with good leadership, excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Solid problem solving and negotiation skills, plus ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese
