My client is a Reputable European Private Bank in Hong Kong. They are now looking for a new VP, Compliance Testing / Monitoring Manager to support compliance assurance and related duties for the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report directly and work directly with the Head of Compliance Monitoring and Testing
• Support all compliance monitoring, compliance testing and compliance assurance duties for the bank, including but not limited to:
• Implementing and reviewing compliance control framework
• Ensuring compliance control designs are tested and effective, and compliant to all internal policies and local regulatory requirements
• Ensuring to test and assess the effectiveness of current control framework and perform ongoing reviews;
• Communicate and solve ineffective controls through compliance monitoring and review duties
• Perform data analytics to identify new trends in compliance control and regulatory compliance related issues
• Take part in ad-hoc projects related to regulatory compliance and new technologies / systems projects

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Technology, Finance, or related
• Open to straight Big 4 professionals in risk / compliance / related field serving FI or banking industry 
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience from reputable / international banks, working in the field of compliance monitoring / compliance testing / general compliance / regulatory compliance / AML / compliance control / compliance assurance / compliance advisory, etc. or related.
• Native level communication skills in English and Cantonese
• MUST HAVE programming or technology related / data analytics experience, background or skill sets; e.g. SQL, C#, etc.
• A detailed-minded and analytical individual
