Job Summary

Performed month-end closing per GAAP and Marriott Finance Policy. Maintain a checklist and prepare month end journals with appropriate supporting documentation and post into Peoplesoft. Submit general journals to DOF for review and approval respectively. Monitor prepaid accounts. Ensure that the balance of sub-ledgers for Guest Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Security Deposit reconcile to General Ledger.

Prepare accurate month end financial reports & analysis as per Marriott and Owners reporting timetable.

Prepare P&L reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation as per Marriott Finance Policy and submit to DOF for review and approval.

Assist the Accounts Payable function to ensure payments are processed in a timely manner and expenses are appropriately approved and coded accurately.

Assist the General Cashier function to ensure Cash audit are conducted and cash deposit in accurate and timely manner per Marriott Finance Policy.

Oversee the maintenance of the hotel fixed asset register.

Prepare monthly outlook and assist in preparation of annual budget.

Assist in monitoring the Hotel's compliance with Marriott Financial Policies & Procedures, GAAP etc. and to implement new Policies & Procedures where necessary.

Complete Finance Audits as assigned by DOF and ensure plans and actions are documented and followed up for any gaps identified.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience gained in sizable hotels highly preferred

Proficient in MS Office

Sound financial acumen with analytical mindset and strong communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated, independent and able to work in a fast pace environment

Good leadership with great team spirit

Good command of spoken and written English & Cantonese
