Job Description
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Act as a financial leader and advisor to brand cluster(s) and manage the cluster’s financial planning team (Business Managers and Financial Analysts) on business and financial activities to ensure that their works meet brands’ requirements and all reports are accurate and prepared timely
- Provide strategic analysis and financial insights to brand management with key indicators of door performance, sales run rates, ROI, COG / Opex analysis, corporate/local affiliate’s KPIs.
- Lead the affiliate’s CoE and manage the responsibility within the business planning team. Liaise with regional CoE team to align on best practices and sharing of information
- Provide insights/variance explanation as to actual versus plan/latest estimate/prior year in monthly management report. Drive accurate and insightful sales performance analysis in various channels/doors at quarterly business meeting
- Assist the brands to prepare Long Range Plan, and actively participate in annual pricing cadence exercises
- Lead and monitor annual financial & capital budgets processes and monthly financial estimates processes. Ascertain reasonableness and accuracy of information therein
- Partner with Demand Planning, brands’ sales and marketing team in brands SIOP to ensure that the monthly latest estimates are prepared with realistic assumptions and flag-out any risk or opportunity in the forecast
- Liaise with regional and head office counterparts on business planning and analysis
- Liaise with lawyers and business partners for review and execution of contracts and leases
- Further drive values from SMI/B2R implementation and continuous system update for the affiliate. Ensure that proper system tools i.e. CPM module are proper maintained
- Lead projects as required to improve financial discipline, productivity and systems and implementation of management accounting processes
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 10 years relevant experience in multi-national retail/luxury brands in which at least 5 years in managerial level
- Sound analytical mind with good understanding of business processes and a strong business mindset/savvy. Able to work in a very dynamic and highly competitive industry
- Strong leadership; Able to coach and develop direct reports and drive excellent team-work
- Build collaborative relationships and able to communicate effectively with different business disciplines & levels
- Acquainted with computer software, knowledge in SAP, excellent Excel skills
- Attention to details, very well organized and demonstrates learning agility
- Self-motivated, commitment to strive for excellence in execution and bottom-line results oriented
- Flexible and strong interest in high volume multi-brands retail business
