Responsibilities

• Supervise daily processing of Equities and Funds, Corporate Actions and Blocked trades (IPO & Placement) around the world; and monitor cash and stock reconciliations.
• Liaise with Sales, Dealing and Counterparties to ensure smooth confirmation and settlement throughout trade life cycle; and perform pre-matching of settlement instructions as well as fail trade management
• Liaise with service providers such as fund custodian, fund administrator, brokers and auditors.
• Handle subscription, redemption and monitor various fund operation issues
• Understand key business requirements that impact operation and work with internal teams to ensure business demands are met
• Partner with various departments to streamline processes and create new workflows
• Handle new business projects including new products roll-out and system UAT
• Escalate requests from internal and external clients and prioritize them in terms of importance and feasibility
• Contribute to operational workflows, and infrastructure addressing internal and external requirements

Requirements

• University graduate preferably with minimum 7-10 years of experience in Cash Equities business in different markets, Nominees and Custodian services
• Good understanding of various equity, ETF, Funds/Unit Trust and fixed income product types and trade life cycle
• Knowledge in NAV & Fund Accounting is preferred
• Has track record on processing safe-keeping and entitlements in HK, Asia, Europe and US equities.
• Extensive knowledge on CCASS operations, custody fee management, HK IPO process.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, with strong sense of responsibility
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Proficiency in common PC applications
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
• More experience will be considered SVP
• Immediate availability is highly preferred
