The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited (“HKSI”) is the Government’s designated organisation to provide the high performance training system for eligible sports. The HKSI’s mission is to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena benchmarked at Major Games results. We are now inviting suitable candidates for the following vacancy:

• To coordinate, design, and implement training programmes for elite athletes in Hong Kong;

• To fully utilize and integrate scientific, medical and other athlete support services into the elite training programme to enhance elite training outcomes;
• To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation;
• To provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports to the HKSI and Hong Kong Fencing Association;
• To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions;
• To supervise Assistant Coaches and part-time coaches;
• To assist the HKSI and Hong Kong Fencing Association with coach education programmes.

• University degree or its equivalent;
• Holder of a valid coaching certificate issued by the relevant governing body;
• A minimum of 5 years’ professional coaching experience and proven record of achievement in coaching Fencing athletes at national level or its equivalent;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• High level of computer literacy; and
• Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.

• 負責籌劃、設計和執行香港劍擊精英運動員訓練計劃；

• 在進行精英訓練計劃時，善用所有運動科學、醫療及其他為運動員而設的支援服務，以加強訓練成果；
• 透過全面性、多方位和定期評估，以監察運動員的表現；
• 提交適時及具分析性的進度報告予體院及香港劍擊總會；
• 負責運動員於本地及海外訓練及比賽的行政工作；
• 督導助理教練及兼職教練的工作；及
• 協助體育學院及香港劍擊總會的教練培訓工作。

• 大學學位或同等學歷；
• 持有由相關機構頒發的有效教練証書；
• 具備最少五年專業教練經驗，及曾帶領劍擊運動員在國際級水平賽事中獲得優異成績；
• 具備良好溝通能力及人際關係；
• 熟悉電腦操作；及
• 認識香港保護兒童及平等機會政策為佳。
