Job Responsibilities:

• Reporting to Senior Manager, lead a small team to follow up garment order focusing on Product Development for woven items (mainly outerwear) for a famous brand
• Monitor the whole process of product development from initial concepts, prototyping, sampling to salesman sample development
• Work with Designers, Product Developers, Patternmakers and Technical Department to proactively manage the design, fabric, fit and trims requirements relating to manufacturability, performance, quality, cost, lead-times and minimums
• Coordinate with internal teams to maintain bill of materials and tech pack during the development process
• Manage costing and price negotiations, responsible for calculating price breakdown, price control, price and order quantity negotiation with suppliers
• Collaborate with different teams on risk assessments, communicate / interpret fitting notes to internal supporting team
• Carry out tracking, request samples, revisions and approvals throughout the product development process
• Prepare Time & Action Plan, ensure the required materials, systems, products are ready on time
• Build up and maintain good relationship with key suppliers to deliver improved supply chain efficiently including greater flexibility, shorter lead times, re-engineering, and margin improvements

Requirements:

• Degree or Higher Diploma holder in Fashion related disciplines
• 8 - 10 years of apparel merchandising experience with strong Product Development knowledge, of which some solid working experience gained in garment manufacturing
• Good understanding of fabrications, trims, fit, garment construction knowledge on outerwear would be an advantage
• Able to work effectively with overseas clients and PRC/offshore factories and lead a team to fulfil requirements and meet deadlines
• Good time management and prioritization skills, multitasking with strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, hands on computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
• Candidates possess less relevant experience will be considered as Assistant Merchandising Manager
