Job Description
John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is the holding company of the publicly-listed conglomerate, Swire Pacific Ltd. Our Finance & Accounts Department is now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:
Accountant
This role is responsible for preparing management and financial reports for head office, and supervising daily operations of Finance & Accounts Department.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and supervise monthly and quarterly management accounts and rolling forecast
- Prepare and supervise accounting work including tax computation, interim and annual accounts, and standard form for head office and subsidiaries
- Support the Finance Manager in annual accounting functions, such as budgeting exercise and group package
- Assist in ad-hoc duties and tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ experience in financial and management accounting
- Holder of HKICPA or equivalent qualifications
- Good understanding of HKFRS principles with underlying accounting practices and applications
- Attentive to details, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word and Excel. Knowledge of SAP FICO system is desirable
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
