Job Purpose:           

“To support the Accounts Payable team and handle all payments relating to the purchase of local and overseas merchandise, concession and consignment sold payments”

Key Accountabilities:

In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Trade Payment

• Process vendors’ invoices and debit notes in a timely manner, local and overseas
• Check invoice-matching reports submitted from Warehouse. Co-ordinate adjustments where necessary
• Report any irregularities or exception to supervisor during matching process
• Issue debit notes and/or claim statements to vendors
• Process and post invoices interfaced from NEO in Oracle Payable Module
• Check journal entries for accuracy
• Process payments according to priorities and ensure all invoices are paid promptly
• Handle the filing of payment vouchers and documents

• To follow up enquiries and prepare reconciliation of creditors’
• To prepare monthly concession and consignment schedules
• To assist the supervisor in streamlining workflow and review the payable processes to streamline workflow & business process
• To identify ways to improve productivities and efficiencies

Compliance and Business Integrity

• Ensure that financial practices are sound and in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and prevailing legislation as well as company guidelines, policies and procedures
• Coordinate with other divisions / departments on strengthening internal control systems
• Ensure that people understand and are complying with the procedures and processes. To fully understand and be able to communicate our Omni-channel service to customers if needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance related disciplines
• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred, preferably in Retail industry
• Able to communicate in both English and Chinese
• Candidates with immediate availability available is highly preferred
• Fresh graduate with accounting internship experience
