This position has a dual role leading a team of 4 subordinates:

Finance and Investment:

• Collect information, conduct research, feasibility studies, investment return analysis and due diligence on financial investments, such as stocks and bonds;
• Perform financial review, budgeting, planning and arrangement of funds;
• Formulate investment strategy with respect to macro-economic trends and geo-political changes; 
• Negotiate with banks and other financial institutes regarding loan or banking facilitates;
• Ensure Group’s financial procedures and guidelines are in compliance with statutory, legal and regulatory requirements

Accounting:

• Oversee and supervise daily accounting operations for property and financial investments;
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements for management and statutory purposes;
• Develop, implement and manage Group’s accounting policies & procedures, risk management and corporate governance;
• Handle Tax planning and IRD queries, annual audit and treasury for the Group 

Others

• Other ad hoc assignments and responsibilities of the Group
• Oversee Company Secretarial matters including filing of annual returns

Qualifications & Experience: 

• University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines, with a recognized qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA and FRM.  CFA qualification is an advantage;
• At least 8 years or above, with solid financial or commercial accounting experience at managerial level;
• Good understanding of the financial markets and investment management;
• Comprehensive knowledge in mortgage loans as well as different financial products in the market is an advantage;
• Familiar with Hong Kong accounting standards, taxation, government regulations and practice;
• Strong analytical mind and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, independent, self-motivated with mature business acumen;
• Good communication and inter-personal skills to work with internal and external parties;
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese;
• Strong networks with banking and financial institutions is a plus;
• Experience and Knowledge in the money lender business, its compliance with regulatory authorities and mortgage loan strategies is an advantage.
• Proficient in computer application including MS Word, Excel and hands-on experience with Flex systems;
