Our client is an international law firm with strong global presence, they are currently looking for a Finance Manager to lead the local finance team in Hong Kong.

The role will be responsible for driving the financial management as well as supervising the statutory compliance in Hong Kong Office. The role manages the finance team based in Hong Kong to work closely with regional finance teams with the support of the shared service centres.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: -

• Fully accountable for services provided by Hong Kong Finance Team including matter management, credit control, financial reporting, AP and payroll, tax filing, banking, treasury, and cash management.
• Responsible for full set of accounts for local entities in Hong Kong
• Ensure financial related process is compliance to local statutory requirements
• Continuously improve internal control and compliance by developing and enforcing policies & procedures

Business Performance Management: -  

• Identify business issues, developing options and implement solutions to improve financial performance
• As the key financial advisor to the partners and senior management of the office to improve their financial decision making
• Provide management reports, variance analysis and commentary

Budgeting & Strategy Planning: -

• Lead annual budgeting in Hong Kong Office and allocate budget for each practice group as well as work closely with Greater China Finance Team to consolidate and communicate the budget for China offices.
• Financial modelling & analysis to support the strategic planning
• Involve in global or regional ad-hoc project

People Management: -

• Manage, motivate, and lead the Hong Kong Finance Team to achieve objectives of the function
• Responsible for recruitment, development, and appraisals of the team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting with CPA Qualification or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of managing a sizable team
• Professional Services Firm (law, accounting & consulting) experience is preferred
• Diplomatic with excellent communication and influencing skills to interface with all levels of the organization
• Fluent in written and spoken English & Chinese
