Responsibilities

Tax structuring & advisory

• Provide tax planning and transaction support for regional acquisitions, including working with the relevant internal and external stakeholders on tax due diligence, tax structuring, deal closing and funding from a tax perspective
• Assist with post acquisition restructuring planning, valuation input from a tax perspective, and other tax matters regarding the ongoing operation of the investments
• Provide tax support for exit, where appropriate

Tax compliance and platform entity management

• Platform management - Work with the relevant platform entities owned by the Fund, center of excellence and tax advisors to manage the investment level and fund level tax reporting obligations and all tax related processes
• Local tax compliance - Manage the overall tax compliance management in the APAC investment jurisdictions including Australia, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong etc.; ensure all tax filings are submitted on a timely and complete basis; improve the overall compliance monitoring system
• US tax reporting - Manage the US tax reporting process and ensure overall timely delivery of reporting packs
• Tax provision - support tax provision for various purposes including annual audited financial statements, year ended financial reporting, management reporting, etc. as needed.
• Tax audits - handle tax audits as and when they may arise
• Tax process and risk management - Ensuring a robust control environment for all tax processes, to ensure compliant with all relevant local tax obligations and mitigate tax risk associated with these processes

The ideal candidate will come from big 4 or a Private equity tax team, with experience in China Tax. 5-10 years experience in China or Private Equity tax would be idea.
