Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager / Manager (General Business), the incumbent will undertake the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in conducting inspection and monitoring non-life insurers' compliance with regulatory requirements, in particular, with respect to motor and employee compensation claims
- Perform prudential supervision of authorized non-life insurers
- Conduct legal research
- Other duties as assigned by senior management to facilitate the administration of the statutory functions of IA
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics or actuarial science. Qualified CPA, actuary or insurance qualification of ACII or ANZIIF is recommended
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements, insurance products, liability claim assessment and practices and market dynamics relating to the insurance business
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, and able to work in a team in a collaborative environment
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Strong command of English; good command of Chinese will be an advantage
A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications on a 1-year fixed-term contract will be offered.
