Job Purpose:

Responsible for the Commercial and Internal Audit functions of the Group, ensuring proper and timely contract management of all trading contracts, sublease contracts and tenancies, conducting checking and assessment on internal control process as well as reviewing sales and profitability performance of the brands.

Key Accountabilities:

Commercial Review & Contract Management

• Review and assess the commercial and contract terms proposed by internal or external counterparts aiming at reaching the internal set targets.
• Coordinate and work closely with various departments on formulation and execution of commercial contracts.
• Conduct regular tracking on contract break dates, contract end dates and recommend course of action.
• Supervise trading term review process to ensure proper & timely execution of commercial contracts.
• Follow up the approval procedures and execution of tenancies and sublease agreements.

Commercial Terms Assessment & Analysis

• Review sales and profitability performance for setting commercial terms for renewal and new trade terms.
• Conduct market research and financial forecasting to formulate proposal for new lease or lease renewal.

Internal Control & Compliance

• Plan and execute annual group internal control assignments, including
  • Conduct risk assessment of assigned key areas 
  • Determine scope of review, sample size and collect data
  • Conduct audit testing and determine compliance with policy and procedures
• Identify control weaknesses / deficiencies, areas for enhancement and develop recommendations.
• Prepare internal control reports and perform follow-up and monitoring works to ensure proper implementation of recommendations.
• Review and maintain up-to-date finance policies and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in finance compliance and internal audit in commercial and/or retail setting
• Experience in handling leasing operations and commercial terms assessment & analysis
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Qualified CPA or equivalent qualifications preferred but not mandatory
• Experience in auditing institutions is highly preferred but not mandatory
• Excellent EXCEL skills and knowledge in Vlookup and Pivot Table is mandatory
• Good communication and interpersonal skills as need to liaise with various departments including internal finance teams, legal, buying teams
• Detail-minded and able to work on fine details and analysis
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
