Reporting to Assistant Manager / Manager, Long Term Business, the incumbent will assume the following:

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting financial and statistical analysis. Identify and analyze trends, transform data collected from the industry into meaningful conclusions and recommendations for decision and policy development
• Assist in analyzing the financial reports, business performance, strategy, capital plans, major acquisitions, control framework or risks of internationally active insurance groups based in Hong Kong
• Participate in conducting onsite inspection and monitoring major insurance groups' compliance with regulatory requirements
• Conduct market analysis and research on Asia-Pacific insurance business, international insurance regulations and supervisory approaches
• Provide secretarial support and organize events (e.g. industry forums, regulatory dialogues, etc.) with international participants
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management to facilitate the administration of the statutory functions of IA

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline with strong statistics background. Final year undergraduate students will also be considered
• A self-starter, adaptive, eager to learn with can-do attitude
• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Appointment Terms
A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications on a 1-year fixed-term contract will be offered.
