Scope and Purpose

The candidate assists the Head of Financial & Regulatory Reporting (“Head of FRR”) to ensure accurate legal entity financial book, provide accurate MIS information for management decision, ensure accurate and timely reporting according to Hong Kong accounting standards, HKMA regulatory reporting requirements and Group requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Assistant reports directly to the Manager / Senior Manager of FRR. The key responsibilities of the position are:

• Work in a team to ensure the financial accounting for the Bank is accurate and timely;
• Prepare manual journal entries during accrual and month end close process to ensure compliance with HK accounting standards and follow Group requirements;
• Manage and monitor smooth payment process, ensure accuracy and timeliness;
• Participate in preparation for HKMA regulatory returns;
• Prepare local regulatory disclosures and Group reporting and ensure it is in compliance of the relevant rules and regulations and Group requirements;
• Maintain good relationships with Group companies stakeholder, external auditors and regulators;

Experience and Education:

• Major in Professional Accountancy preferred.
• Good team worker, problem solver, good analytical and numeric skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Fluent in in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
