Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Manager – Internal Control to join the Internal Control Department of Financial Control (HK) in CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Internal Control, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Lead periodic internal control review exercise for key financial and non-financial processes (in particular IT related processes), including process change review, monitoring key risks and ensuring adequacy of control coverage, documentation of new and revised process and controls, testing key controls effectiveness, making recommendations of improvement and monitoring the implementation of remedial actions.
  • Support risk assessment and evaluation of controls to manage critical risks, perform process reviews, control incident investigations, identify opportunities and make recommendations to management for improvement and/or streamlining.
  • Lead the development of data analytic and data management capability of the Internal Control function.
  • Support the production of regular control awareness programs and communication materials.
  • Support the General Representation Letter process on assurance of effective internal control system within the Company by reviewing and consolidating assessments from different businesses and functions.
  • Conduct research on best practices on governance and internal control.
  • Provide professional support to internal stakeholders regarding provision of best control practices, aiming at enhancing internal controls and compliance within the Company.
  • Collaborate with Group and business units’ control functions to upkeep a climate of internal control awareness within the Company.
  • Support the follow-up process of internal audit issues, including liaison with other business units and monitoring the implementation of remedial actions.
  • Handle any other ad hoc tasks and assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • Holder of a recognized university degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in Internal Audit, risk and governance or the relevant fields. Candidates with IT/Engineering background will be an advantage.
  • Holder of certifications from ISACA such as CISA is highly preferred.
  • Excellent command of writing, communication and presentation skills both in English and Cantonese; proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in presentation applications; knowledge in Power BI would be an advantage.
    Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Adhering to high standards of quality, timeliness of deliverables and accuracy.
  • Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, independent, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Highly organized, efficient, detail-oriented & able to multitask.
