About Our Client

Our client is a leading financial services group with an established and professional reputation across several different products and services. As part of their strategic growth plan, they are now looking to capitalise on a new line of business within the M&A cycle, which will provide bespoke solutions to both buyers and sellers for all M&A transactions.

Key Responsibilities

You will report directly to the Head of the Transactions team for Asia and will be instrumental in building the business for the region, including:

• identifying and originating potential targets and opportunities across a network of clients and prospects
• engaging and bridging internal technical expertise with potential clients, third party professionals including lawyers, investment bankers, fund managers, accounting and private equity firms
• building trust and developing relationships across all parties and working to deliver potential solutions for all M&A deals
• managing and executing the full cycle of the deal, including compiling prospectus, pricing, negotiation and answering all potential queries
• instrumental in building the team, assist in managing the P&L and growing the profit centre
• be a key leader of the function to help drive the strategic direction and growth of the business

Job Requirements

Suitable candidates will have in-depth expertise in the full M&A cycle and possess the following:

• degree and professional qualification in accounting, finance or MBA
• training in a Big 4 firm in the transactions team, working on the full cycle of M&A transactions
• 5-10 years’ in house experience with a multinational group in strategy, M&A, corporate development and be involved in the origination, negotiation and execution of deals, knowledge of transactions liability within the process will be a distinct advantage
• have a proven network of contacts involved in M&A transactions, including investment bankers, lawyers, accountants, PE and fund managers
• confidence and outgoing personality and client facing ability to drive business development opportunities, negotiate and close deals
• enjoy working within a fast paced, dynamic and high growth potential environment
• strong commercial acumen with an interest in business trends and developments
