As part of their ongoing transformation to improve their service and delivery across the business, they are now seeking a Business Analyst to join the global team.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting remotely to the Regional Manager of Business Analytics, you will be part of the Global Business Analytics function, located in Hong Kong and representing the business for Asia Pacific. Your role will involve:

• Understanding the business and services provided across the Asia Pacific region and develop a strong sense of trust and relationship with all business heads and lines of business
• Be hands-on in ascertaining sources of data to support ad hoc initiatives, specific projects, or problem solve by utilizing and translating data into useful insight
• Compile complex analysis and transactions, ensuring accuracy of data across a wide variety of initiatives, including industry related analysis, macro-economic impacts, useful client related research, internal performance tracking etc
• Be able to present data in an easy to comprehend manner and present articulately to the management team

Job Requirements

This is a newly created position to drive further sophistication and quality business insight to the finance and business functions of the firm. Suitable candidates should have:

• Professional qualification or degree is a numeric or problem solving capacity, such as finance, business, science, engineering, law etc
• Ambitious junior with 1-3 years of experience ideally in a similar professional services, law, consulting, insurance or banking background
• Be highly numerate and comfortable in manipulating numbers, building spreadsheets, performing analysis to convey different concepts and ideas
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to articulate complex scenarios in a simple and easy to understand manner
• Ability to work in a self-sufficient manner and be comfortable to work independently to tackle problematic situations
• Strong research and data analysis experience, including using Excel, Merger Market, Thomson Reuters etc
• Take pride and accountability in your work, continually look to develop and implement best practices across the business
• Fluent in both written and spoken English, additional languages will be a distinct advantage
