There are more than 4,000 legal professionals in the globe working together to enable people to understand local markets and navigate multiple jurisdictions. Currently, they are seeking for a Business Analyst to work in a fast-paced environment to cope with their future business development plan with expansion in Hong Kong.

Description

• Assist in the assessment and review of current business shape to help investigate legal teams, markets or industries for future focus
• Assist in the creation of new operational process improvements, Management Information solutions or data modelling/scoring systems across various practices and functions
• Research support to meet strategic targeting and business development requirements, leveraging external financial information databases, legal and macro-economic reports to help provide market context to the Firm and clients
• Collaborate on projects involving legal and non-legal technology providers to help the team develop cutting edge and innovative solutions (including sentiment analyses, machine learning, etc.)
• Analyse historical and real-time data to create summaries supporting the decision making of senior leadership and Partners
• Create ad-hoc solutions to business problems, including automating manual processes by using VBA, SQL, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Python, Power Pivots and the full suite of MS Office applications

Profile

• Degree holder preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business or related disciplines with demonstration of consistently strong academic performance
• Prior experience in an analogous field such as Management Consulting, Data Analytics, Finance or Corporate Strategy preferred
• Understanding of corporate transactions and the different market databases available (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv, MergerMarket) preferred
• Experience of financial systems (e.g. SAP), common business applications (Excel, Access, SQL, Tableau) and programming languages (Python, VBA) strongly preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Ability to withstand pressure during busy periods, while keeping high quality execution and respect of fast-moving, urgent deadlines
