Finance and Accounting management role

Our Client, a retailer of niche luxury goods and is the leader in the markets in which they operate.  They have a passion for excellence for both the product portfolio and their customer service.  A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance professional to join the management team in Hong Kong.

Reporting to the VP Finance, this is a leadership role focused on Hong Kong and China.  This is both a technical and a strategic role and it is expected that you will be leading the Finance team in supporting the strategic and operational business planning, managing budgetary control and forecasting, financial control, financial evaluation of potential projects, driving changes in systems and processes.  You will also ensure compliance with the statutory accounting standards of HK and provide proper financial statements.  Lastly you will be responsible for good internal controls in inventory and sales in achieving the business objectives.

The ideal candidate will be a finance professional with a minimum of 15 years’ experience  in which much experience was gained in  leadership roles.  Experience in the retail markets is essential.  The candidate  should be one who takes a hands-on approach, who has  a can do attitude coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Fluency in English and Chinese is required.  A high degree of drive and initiative, and the ability to adapt to changes are also important qualities.
