Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.Opening paragraphJoin a team of over 18,000 GCR professionals, leading the way in growth for EY TaxThe opportunityThe role of Global GCR Competency Coorindator will be opening, providing an opportunity to work and grow alongside the GCR leadership team and it’s fastest growing competencies.This role is pivotal to supporting the Global GCR Leadership team in executing broader Leadership and Competency specific initiatives in line with the Global Tax Strategy. Activities will include (but are not limited to) Operations, Markets, Stakeholder coordination, Events, and other significant projects that are needed by the Central Leadership team and Competency Leaders.Your key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

Operations and Finance
  • Manage periodic and ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for Global GCR and competencies
  • Manage a GDS team to deliver high standard work products
  • Prepare select leadership presentation materials
  • Draft communications for global audiences of varying levels
  • Coordinate and contribute to leadership calls, take key notes and follow up on actions
  • Provide ad hoc project support (e.g. cross-service line teaming, global solution / tools development)

Markets
  • Project manage Competency-level Markets plan, working with key stakeholders and driving towards timeline
  • Provide ad hoc project support to help achieve Markets objectives
  • Manage pipeline reporting, sales and win tracking, providing transparency of geo/sector/solution performance
  • Team xSSL and xSL for relevant Fields of Play intersections
  • Execute against special projects, as needed

Stakeholder coordination
  • Gather information for SSL Global Leader, Deputy, Competency Leader, Markets and Operations
  • Team with relevant support functions (Finance, BMC, Knowledge, etc)
  • Identify and align resources to support on initiatives and projects

Events
  • Work with GCR Leadership team to develop event communication
  • Work with GCR Leadership team to develop event program and structure
  • Work with procurement and events for logistics
  • Coordinate event speakers and materials

Skills And Attributes For Success

To qualify for the role you must have
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Understanding of P&L and general firm financials
  • Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Maintain a global mindset, and ability to work across timezones
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
  • 3+ years of experience

Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Understanding of EY and Tax business; can effectively navigate EY’s matrix organization to access, inform and engage the right people at the right time
  • Strong working knowledge of Nextwave Tax strategy, strategic priorities and deep knowledge of GCR growth competencies.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior level executives

  • Working knowledge of EY, the professional services sector, or matrix organizations
  • Ability to communicate well with senior leaders and stakeholders, collaborate effectively. The ability to work successfully with diverse personalities and work styles is critical, as is working with urgency, as many initiatives are extremely time sensitive.
  • Must be well organized, with strong project management skills to drive multiple initiatives forward across a diverse set of stakeholders and deadlines
