Key

•  Perform accounting and reporting functions including the preparation of timely and accurate reports of financial results.
•  Administer the account reconciliation and month-end process.
•  Participate in operation enhancement while adhering to financial control

Responsibilities

• Administer the account reconciliation by importing transactions in interface files from

systems including ELS & MMS systems, detect errors from the files and conduct

amendments  

• Collate data in general ledger with records from other systems.

• Maintain and update of charts of accounts, list of companies, department codes,

accounting periods, currency exchange rates; data backup/recovery and group

consolidation.

• Prepare journal entries

• Compile detailed and updated list of investment in securities.

• Maintain fixed asset register and ensure it is in line with general ledger.

• Calculate inter-company interest, unearned discount & front-end-fee amortization.

• Compile and present information to assist internal and external auditors/regulatory

authorities to excel their auditing requirements, prepare audit confirmation and handle

related enquiries from customers.

• Compile financial statements and ensure the comprehensiveness and accuracy.

• Prepare the banking returns to HKMA

• Monitor SUN user accounts and securities, and report any irregularities to the supervisor

• Conduct analysis on operation result of assets
• Participate in due dillgence work for acqulistion undertaking.
• Participate in PPA (Purchase price allocation) investment projects, figure out PPA adjustment for group accounting purpose

Requirements

• Minimum: Degree in Accounting
• Preferred: Qualified Accountant of HKICPA with Big 4 training
• Minimum: 2 years relevant working experience in accounting, pref 3 years working experience in accounting/audit in banking/financial institution/international accounting firm
• Knowledge in SUN G/L system
• Possess data processing knowledge & proficiency in SQL programming
• Good presentation and report writing skills
