Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape.

In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe.

Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.

Job Description

ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role of the Inventory Controller is to ensure all end-to-end inventory control procedures and rules are implemented, optimized, and aligned with the highest level of accuracy across our stores in Hong Kong and Macau. 

MISSION

Inventory Management:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to handle daily inventory activities (both inbound and outbound) promptly
  • Manage and track the end-to-end flow of the Intercompany Transfers and Returns process
  • Follow-up with any outstanding Claims from Vendors/Warehouses/Suppliers
  • Perform and track Stock Adjustments and Price Event updates
  • Responsible for carrying out cycle counts, and bi-annual stock takes

Reporting:

  • Accurate reporting of Daily Sales and certification with HQ
  • Perform various weekly reports and audits of X-Store reports with Store & Warehouse teams
  • Monitor inventory discrepancies and ensure they can be reconciled
  • Perform month-end closing Sales & Margin Report

Other:

  • Guide and train store teams to ensure all best practices and inventory controls and in place
  • Participate and support any ad-hoc projects or responsibilities of Hong Kong/ Macau territory for the brand

PROFILE

  • 3+ years of experience in Inventory Control / Audit Background, with proven
    experience in managing inventory related topics 
  • JDA and SAP inventory system knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills to devise and execute the action
  • Comfortable with solving complex issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
