Job Description

• Review and validate invoices, bills, claims and payments are completed with high accuracy and on a timely manner
• Resolve invoice processing and payment issues with various stakeholders
• Keep ledger of inter-hospitals goods lending/borrowing and ensure items are return to lending hospitals / are returned to us
• Perform accounting functions (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) and maintain proper accounting records and procedures including handling full set of accounts, review payment schedules, bank transactions, oversee billing process and review of patient billings before discharging, and handle month-end closing amongst other things
• Oversee and manage ledger of inter-hospitals goods lending/borrowing and ensure the return of the same to lending hospitals/our veterinary hospital
• Maintain and manage employee payrolls
• Prepare and present to management timely financial reports of veterinarian’s directly generating revenue, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of revenue categorized and with analysis
• Responsible for regular stock taking, inventory control, inventory forecast and the performance monthly review of physical stock levels of controlled substances against digital entries and resolve any discrepancies in compliance with prevailing laws and regulations
• Manage order placing with internal & external vendors including goods receipt and checks against invoices, payment preparation and consolidation
• Prepare budget forecasting including demand forecasting and optimisation of orders with external vendors (to meet MOQ and minimise logistics/operational costs), and monitor weekly estimated payment schedules and cashflow
• Drive financial controls and processes enhancement, ensuring compliance with legal/statutory compliance and ensure company policies and procedures are being adhered to at all times
• Assist manager in executing process improvements, enter data into Hospital Patient Management System
• Prepare annual audit and tax filing, P&L reports, and regular
• Identify and resolve problems and inaccuracies in all aspects of the position, including data-entry discrepancies, unbalanced inventory, HR, etc.
• Perform and support other administrative, accounting, and ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree holder or above in accounting or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of accounting
• Ability to manipulate and analyse financial data and resilience to work in a challenging operating environment
• Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on MS excel, proficiency working with professional accounting software (e.g. Xero, Quickbooks, Sage) or ERP systems
• Be keen to learn and understand new tasks and desire to contribute to continual improvements to processes and working methods
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude and able to interact at all levels and work independently in a dynamic and high volume environment
• Good team-player with strong team spirit and willingness to work under pressure
• Detail oriented, well-organised and able to meet tight deadlines
• Good command of English and Chinese

Good to have

• Certified accountant qualification (HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Auditing experience
• Experience working with EzyVet (Hospital Patient Management System)
• Experience working in veterinary/medical industry
