The opportunity

The Finance Team works with clients to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their internal finance and accounting systems and processes. Finance team is designed to improve the performance of clients’ finance and actuarial organizations and their businesses. We help organizations to achieve strategic alignment of their finance and actuarial organizations, help implement service and cost improvement initiatives and embed a performance management process and culture that unites the business around its core objectives.

Your key responsibilities:

• 
  Support implementation of new regulatory reporting regime (e.g. HK Risk-Based Capital) from the perspectives of data, system, process and control
• Perform data gap analysis based on the regulation requirements and propose the solutions for the identified gaps
• Prepare detailed data design/ functional specification document which includes the mapping from the source systems to the target data fields as well as external data sourcing
• Design the end to end data flow diagram for the client after understanding their system architecture
• Assess the impact on financial reporting systems and propose target state design of general ledger in compliance with the relevant regulations
• Define the test approach and coordinate the SIT, UAT, E2E and dry run activities
• Design Target Operating Model for the client which includes the target closing process, data preparation process, E2E regulatory reporting process with proper controls
• Lead requirement gathering, data mapping, TOM workshop sessions for the client

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Technology/ Accounting related discipline
• 3 to 6 years' experience in regulatory reporting, finance systems implementation/ process changes, where the experience of working for consulting firms and/or financial sector (e.g. insurance) is preferred
• Good comprehensive understanding of Finance function
• Able to communicate with seasoned Finance professionals of EY clients confidently
• Experience in HK Risk-Based Capital reporting/HKIO reporting or IFRS17 implementation is strongly preferred
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
