We are looking for a Assistant Accountant to form part of the Finance Team. This role is responsible for providing accounting support to the Site Controller and other accountants within the department. Perform transactional input into the accounting system, ensure files are completed and maintained as needed, handle account payable and treasury duties, and assist accounting personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Site Controller in month-end closing including but not limited to preparing bank reconciliation, review of invoicing files, intercompany / balances reconciliation, and various schedules and reports etc.
• Responsible for purchase and payment cycle transactions and record maintenance
• Compile data and prepare a variety of reports. Investigate questionable data and timely report to Site Controller
• Assist in statutory audit and taxation filing
• Provide administration support, such as arranging Directors’ signatures and approval of all documents (Minutes, Purchase Orders, couriers) and filing etc.
• Assist in preparation of budget / forecast reports
• Support daily accounting duties and perform ad-hoc assignments by superiors

 Essential Skills, Ability or Experience:

• Higher Diploma or above in accounting or commerce
• Proficiency in Excel
• Pro-active in taking ownership of tasks
• Knowledge of accounting principles 
• Desire to learn new knowledge
• Self-driven and organised approach to work
