Job Description
Lidl are hiring an Accounts Clerk to join the Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for Accounts Payables where they will be exposed to a dynamic environment where they will quickly learn about the sourcing industry, various processes and functions within the organisation and accounting principles covering various jurisdictions.
We strive to develop our Accounting colleagues in areas such as technical accounting, internal control management, business processes and system acumen.
- Accounts payable function, processing of invoices in our accounting system, SAP, in accordance with the prevailing accounting standards
- Checking the accuracy of accounting transactions, supporting the proper financial statements
- Follow up on queries from various stakeholders pertaining to the status of invoices received
- Work closely with finance and functional departments to facilitate on-time payments
- Responsible for Accounts Receivables including the issuance of invoices, follow- up on outstanding receivables and reducing the likelihood of bad depts
- Support in generating reports in the areas of accounts payable and receivables
- Other ad hoc assignment as assigned
- LCC&I Higher level or above
- Minimum 2 years accounting experience preferably
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office application including Word and Excel
- Knowledge in SAP is an advantage
- Detail-minded, able to finish tasks accurately within the defined timeline
- Willing to develop and take on extra responsibilities
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable & Receivables Management is an advantage
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English is a must
- Excellent command of both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is an advantage
- Able to work in a dynamic working environment and works well under pressure
